About Me & Contact
Originally a primary school teacher, I took time out to bring up my two children who are now in their 20s. Once they were school-age, I worked in publishing, in editorial and marketing departments.
As a mature student I gained a BA in Women's Studies & Environmental Studies at Kingston University in Surrey, and an MSc in Women, Culture and Society at Birkbeck College, London.
Humanist Celebrant
Being a non-religious humanist celebrant is most rewarding. I feel that the skills and experience I have built up over the years are fully realised in the role. It is a privilege to help families through these intensely emotional times and I enjoy enabling people to plan and participate in their milestone ceremonies.
The British Humanist Association (BHA)
It is important to me to be part of a
national network of some 300 British Humanist Association celebrants. I value the ongoing professional
support of BHA Ceremonies in the form of a celebrants’ forum where
we share advice and help, as well as contact and support from local humanist celebrants.
There is continuous professional development and an
annual conference where we meet and exchange ideas with humanist celebrants from the UK and abroad, and all celebrants are covered by professional quality assurance procedures.
I am based in Teddington, Middlesex and conduct ceremonies within reach of South West London and into Surrey.
'Your
words, and the way you delivered them, were very uplifting for us all'.
'Thank
you so much for making yesterday a day we will remember for all the right
reasons.'
